This is an example on how to set limits and sell or trade your traffic.
Scenario: One client bought 500 hits of US and CA traffic. Another clien bought 300 hits of CN and TW traffic.
Also we have a traffic trade with our partner and we want to send him 3000 hits every day to be in the top of his traders, but do this
more or less smoothly with no more than 500 hits per hour.
All the excess traffic will be sent to our other project, in this case http://bosstds.com.
We use a scheme named "Traffic selling". Open this link in another tab. To see all the scheme properties click on change button in the rightmost column.
In the scheme properties we set IN Url to selling.
All the traffic sent to http://demotds.bosstds.com/in/selling/ will be redirected to one of
OUTs of
this scheme.
We set Default OUT Url to http://bosstds.com. This is our page
for the excess traffic.
Rest properties are left with default values.
We've added three OUT Urls. Click on OUT Urls button at the left of change button to see them all.
- The first OUT is
http://cnn.com. We set its' Mode
to Sequential and Order to 0.0.
We added a GeoIP rule to this OUT, so that it will accept hits from US or CA only.
We set Total Max Hits to 500 so that this OUT will always reject if we sent 500 hits to the Url. - The second OUT is
http:///www.xinhuanet.com. We set its' Mode
to Sequential and Order to 1.0.
We might as well swap this and previous OUTs as they have mutually exclusive GeoIP rules.
We added a GeoIP rule to this OUT, so that it will accept hits from CN or TW only.
We set Total Max Hits to 300 so that this OUT will always reject if we sent 300 hits to the Url. - The third OUT is
http://www.un.org/. This is our trader. We set its' Mode
to Sequential and Order to 2.0 - it will be tried last.
We set Max Hits/Day to 3000 and Max Hits/Hour to 500. It means 3000 hits a day but no more than 500 hits a hour. - When the hit is not from US, CA, CN or TW and if we already sent 3000 hits to our trader today or 500 hits this hour, the visitor will be redirected to the Default OUT Url, http://bosstds.com
